Lagos Fire Service Rescues Abule Egba Sawmill Fire Outbreak

Just In – Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service (LSFRC), in a successful operation on Sunday, put to rest a fire outbreak at a sawmill in Abule Egba, Lagos.

Eyewitness reports circulating on social media reveal the burnt location along Lagos- Abeokuta Expressway, Awori Bus-Stop, Abule Egba, Lagos.

The wide area covered with sawmill materials was gutted by fire, but the cause remains unknown. Meanwhile, the fire has been curtailed at the swift response of LSFRC on ground to ensure the outbreak doesn’t go past controllable positions.

Margaret Adeseye, Director of Lagos Rescue, has since released a press statement with no record of casualties except for properties. On ground were brave officers of the Lagos Rescue of Agege, Abesan, and Alausa Division, respectively.

However, the sawmill shops had encountered about a degree of losses from the fire outbreak.
