Tinubu Condemn Attacks in Plateau State, Orders Swift Action

823

After a loud silence from the presidency on the incessant attacks on the people of Plateau State which have claimed several lives and damaged extensive properties, the President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, through his spokesman, Ajuri Ngelale, has reacted and condemned the attacks in Plateau State and ordered swift action.

On Tuesday, through a tweet, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu condemned the recent vicious assaults, which resulted in the tragic loss of numerous lives, in Bokkos and Barkin-Ladi Local Government Areas of Plateau State.

In response, the President has taken immediate action, directing security agencies to swiftly move into the affected areas, intensify their efforts, and apprehend those responsible for these horrific acts.

“I have directed our security agencies to immediately move in, scour every part of the zone, and apprehend the culprits responsible for these atrocities.” said the President.

Additionally, President Tinubu, in his words, stated that he has ordered the urgent mobilization of relief resources for the surviving victims, and this includes ensuring necessary medical treatment for the injured.

Expressing his condolences to the government and people of Plateau State, the President assured all Nigerians that those behind these distressing acts will face justice. He pledged to pursue and bring to book the individuals responsible for spreading death, pain, and sorrow in the region.

As the mouths of the government condemn these vicious assaults on the lives and properties of its citizens and their hearts continue to bleed, the people of Plateau State mourn and hope for justice over the deaths of their loved ones who fell victim to attacks of terrorism.

Holding the President by his words and pushing a subtle reminder that “a government unable to protect its citizens deserves to be queried”, it can only be hoped that the President keeps true to his words to end these attacks, protect the citizens, and bring the attackers to book.
