Supreme Court Rollouts 87 New SANs, Including Tinubu's Lawyer Oluwole Afolabi

The Legal Practitioners’ Privileges Committee (LPPC), under the umbrella of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, has rolled out 87 new Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs), including President Bola Tinubu’s lawyer, Oluwole Afolabi.

In the lists, 86 members were called to the bar as the latest class of senior advocates, a yearly honour.

According to Peoples Gazette, Afolabi was shortlisted despite being the lawyer who helped President Tinubu fend off drug trafficking-related cases in the United States, as seen in a July 1 memo from the LPPC.

The list contains 87 practising lawyers and 11 legal academics.
