Nigeria’s Vice President Kashim Shettima, while imploring Nigerians to be patient with the administration of Bola Tinubu, has stated that the Party, All Progressive Congress, merely adopted the solutions promised by opposition candidate Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar.

Shettima disclosed while appealing to Nigerians on Thursday at the 2nd Chronicle Roundtable event organised by 21st Century Media services at Ladi Kwali Hall, Abuja Continental Hotel, Abuja.

As Guest Speaker at the event, Shettima explained that some of the policies taken by the Tinubu administration as part of its economic and social agenda, including the removal of the petrol subsidy, were the “biggest elephant in the room” before Tinubu took office.

Those who attempted to eat their words were instantly proven wrong by data, history, and their antecedents,” Mr Shettima said.

Soon, Nigeria’s economy will experience significant growth once we’ve overcome these sacrifices. Positive changes will soon be evident across all economic indicators – inflation, per capita income, GDP numbers, poverty reduction, food security, and all aspects close to the hearts of our people, he further stated.

Meanwhile, in a press statement released by Senior Special Assistant to The President on Media & Communications, Stanley Nkwocha, Shettima, while stressing the steps taken to steer the ship of state through the economic turbulence and storm the administration met on the ground on the assumption of office, stated that the need to review the Renewed Hope Agenda document is the way to go.
