Massive floods of dark-ridden waterlogs have hit the people of the Agungi-Ajiran community in Eti-Osa Local Government Area of Lagos State.

The scene of the flood was captured after a 30-minute heavy rain on Tuesday afternoon, leaving the 1.82-kilometre road inaccessible to residents and vehicles.

Owning to the bad drainage system in the environment and the constant rain outpour, the community is on a standstill as businesses, estates and residential buildings along the road are flooded.

This is despite Lagos State’s commitment to addressing the constant setbacks of the Primary Channel and Secondary Collectors in the areas, the flood challenges remain.

Meanwhile, on September 25, 2023, West Africa Weekly reached out to the House of Representatives member, Hon. Thaddeus Attah, who represents Eti-Osa Constituency concerning the Agungi Ajiran road but did not respond to his direct messages on X.
