The Nigerian women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, has advanced to the quarterfinals of the Olympics for the first time.
The team achieved this milestone with a stunning 79-70 victory over Canada, currently ranked fifth in the world, at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
The match, held in the Parisian arena, saw D’Tigress display exceptional skill and determination.
Nigeria demonstrated their prowess, maintaining a solid lead throughout the game.
The Canadian team, known for their resilience and tactical strength, fought hard but ultimately could not overcome the spirited performance of the Nigerian side.
