Niger and Chad Deepen Bilateral Cooperation

Niger’s Prime Minister, Ali Lamine Zeine, met with Chadian President Mahamat Idriss Déby Itno in N’Djamena on October 31, 2025, on the sidelines of the 3rd session of the Chad–Niger Joint Cooperation Commission.

Accompanied by several ministers and experts, Zeine discussed key areas of mutual interest with the Chadian leader, including economic development, security cooperation, and regional stability.

Speaking on behalf of Niger’s Head of State, General Abdourahamane Tiani, the Prime Minister reaffirmed Niamey’s commitment to strengthening the fraternal ties between the two nations and promoting shared prosperity across the region.
