Aggrieved Customers have trooped outside the MTN offices in different states, among which is the MTN office in Osogbo early this morning, protesting against the blocking of their SIM cards by telecommunications.

According to reports and videos making rounds on social media, the MTN office at Festac, Lagos State; MTN office in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State; MTN office at Ikeja, Toyin Roundabout, Lagos State; MTN office in Warri, MTN Office in FHA Lugbe Abuja, Delta State, and Idi Ape office in Ibadan, Oyo State customers have crowded the entrance of these offices to express their grievances over the NIN issue and its linking to SIMs.

The exercise has also drawn unsatisfactory responses from the affected customers, some of whose SIM cards have been blocked, for inconveniencing them a lot.

The protesters, in particular, say that although they adhered to the NIN-SIM linkage directives to the letter, their SIMs were deactivated and thus could not access some essential services.
