Police Arrest Benue Woman with 317 Live Ammunition

A 37-year-old woman has been apprehended by the tactical team of the ‘Operation Zenda Joint Task Force’ in Benue for allegedly possessing 317 live ammunition.

The arrest, which happened on Tuesday, has been confirmed by Commander SP Felix Nomiyugh of Operation Zenda. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that the tactical team of the Operation Zenda Joint Task Force conducted the arrest at Ayati Junction in Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State,

Commander SP Nomiyugh revealed the woman was linked to a notorious bandit operating in the region.

During the operation, the task force seized 200 live ammunition for a General Purpose Machine Gun (GPMG) and 117 rounds of 7.6mm ammunition from the suspect.

The swift action by the Operation Zenda Joint Task Force demonstrates their commitment to maintaining peace and security in Benue State.
