Atiku Abubakar, a former Vice President and 2023 Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has appeared along with six other politically exposed individuals in a new leak of owners with secret properties in Dubai.

In a newly published investigative report by the Organised Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP), seven Nigerians were alleged to be money launderers, drug lords, and businessmen sanctioned for financing terrorism, amongst other financial crimes.

The report includes Atiku alongside Abubakar Garba Shehu, Adeyemi Sabitun Ikuforiji, Cromwell Osamwonyi Idahosa, Ike Ekweremadu, Lawal Hassan Gummi, and Orji Uzor Kalu.

Breakdown of Atiku Abubakar and Families Properties

The properties of Atiku and family currently owned in Dubai are two Rwada Apartments, one worth $453,800 and $432,500, Jumeirah Living World Trade Centre Residence ($518,800), Park Ridge Tower C ($570,100).

Also, The One at Jumeirah Village Circle ($372,000), Grand Heights Hotel Apartments ($322,200), and another Jumeirah Living World Trade Centre worth $1,291,500.

This is connected to an alleged offshore case in millions of dollars of suspected funds sent to his fourth wife, Jennifer Douglas Abubakar, in the United States in 2000 and 2008.

Breakdown of Abubakar Garba Shehu’s Properties

Abubakar Garba Shehu, as a Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to former President Muhammadu Buhari was also alleged to owning two seperate Arrezzo 2 apartment worth $314,100.

Adeyemi Ikuforiji

As a former speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly from 2005 to 2015, he owns DAMAC Maison Dubai Mall Street worth $574,500 and Ocean Heights apartment of $387,600.
