JUST IN: After NLC Ajaero's Arrest, Nigeria's State Security Service Invades SERAP's Office in Abuja

Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project, SERAP, has raised the alarm over the “unlawful” invasion of its office in Abuja by operatives of the Nigerian State Security Service (SSS).

As disclosed on its official X handle, SERAP wrote, “Officers from Nigeria’s State Security Service (SSS) are presently unlawfully occupying SERAP’s office in Abuja, asking to see our directors.

“President Tinubu must immediately direct the SSS to end the harassment, intimidation and attack on the rights of Nigerians,” SERAP stated in a post on Monday.

The “unlawful” invasion occurred after the arrest of National Labour Congress leader Joe Ajaero, who was captured at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
