Insecurity: Man Calls Out on Abduction of Brother’s Wife, Two Cousins with Four Children

Suleiman Abubakar on Tuesday raised an amber alert on social media to decry the insecurity that has happened to his brother’s wife, two cousins, and four children kidnapped by terrorists.

According to his post on social media, his junior brother’s wife, two of his four cousins, and four of their children were abducted around 4 pm on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, on their way back to Kastina from Dan Musa Local government area.

He expressed that no messages have been received yet, both from the captured relatives and the government, to help in retrieving his relatives from the kidnappers.

However, he had called on the public attention to help amplify the call for their release.

Meanwhile, the kidnappers are yet to make claims of abductions, as their modus operandi is to kidnap and lay claims by demanding ransom in release for the captive.

Essentially, the silent approval of the government has enabled more insecurity than fulfilling the primary purpose of the government in service to protect and serve the public.

Citizens are now waking to demand government intervention or give room to self-defence, even though the Nigerian military has stated it would lead to anarchy.
