LASEPA Seals Quilox, Warns Others of Environmental and Safety Infractions

In the spirit of Yuletide, a video was unveiled on X (formerly Twitter) in the early hours of Sunday, depicting the environmental traffic congestion caused by potential Quilox customers hoping to get a chance in the overcrowded club as Lagosians approach the Christmas season.

Five hours later, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) sealed the club as it posed a great disservice to other potential commuters who would be plying that road. However, this decision has halted the 56-hour club party set out to be held at 873 Ozimba Mbadiwe, where the club is located.

This came after LASEPA and Lagos State Safety Commission (LSC) had warned social centres to consider the well-being of others while conducting their businesses. Quilox is now sealed based on allegations of Environmental and Safety Infractions, though the nightclub owner has not yet made any public statement regarding the recent development as of the time of publication.

The agencies also warned the operators of Sol Beach, the good beaches, landmark beaches, and other social centres across the State to ensure that adequate considerations are made towards the safety and well-being of their neighbours and citizens of the State during the Yuletide.
