Niger and Venezuela Strengthen Energy Cooperation

Niger’s Head of State, General Abdourahamane Tiani, received Venezuelan Deputy Minister of Petroleum and Hydrocarbons Martinez Navarro Jovanny José in audience on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the Presidential Palace in Niamey. A delegation accompanied the Venezuelan official.

Prime Minister Ali Mahaman Lamine Zeine, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakary Yaou Sangaré, Minister and Chief of Staff to the President and Government Spokesperson Dr Soumana Boubacar, and other senior officials from the Presidency and the Ministry of Petroleum attended the meeting.

According to the Presidency, the discussions focused on strengthening energy cooperation between Niger and the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.
