NECO Releases 2024 Results

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the 2024 Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) internal results. This was announced by NECO’s Registrar, Professor Dantani Wushishi, on Thursday, September 19, during a briefing in Minna.

A total of 1,376,423 candidates registered for the exam, with 1,367,736 eventually sitting for it. Of these, 828,284 candidates (60.55%) achieved five credits, including English and Mathematics, which are the key subjects for further education and employment opportunities.

During the announcement, Professor Wushishi also revealed that NECO had blacklisted 21 supervisors across 12 states for involvement in examination malpractice. In addition, a school in Ekiti State was disqualified for widespread cheating in three subjects, according to Vanguard.

NECO has urged schools and students to uphold integrity in future examinations to maintain the credibility of the examination system.
