Nigerian singer Yungi Duu has revealed during an exclusive interview with HipTv about  alleged exploitation and sidelining by producer Carter Efe in their collaboration on the hit song “Oyinmo.”

Despite writing, composing, and singing the song alone, Duu disclosed that he did not receive any compensation for his significant contribution to its success.

Furthermore, he claimed that Efe did not pay a single dime for his efforts.

Duu recounted his distressing experience with Efe, stating that after they shot the video, he was chased away from Efe’s house. He accused of sidelining him from live performances of Oyinmo.

Despite the song’s popularity and demand at events, Duu lamented that Efe consistently failed to include him in performances, depriving him of opportunities to showcase his talent and benefit from the song’s success.

Recall Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, signed Yungi Duu to his record label and demanded a sum of ₦100 million before allowing him to sign with any label.

However, the rift between Duu and his former boss, Portable, aligned him with Efe.
