The aircraft, a C-130 transport plane, was carrying Nigerian military personnel when it made an unscheduled landing in Burkina Faso earlier this month, triggering a temporary detention over airspace and clearance concerns.

The aircraft and its crew were received in Accra by Ghanaian officials acting on behalf of the government, marking the conclusion of days of behind-the-scenes diplomacy involving Nigeria, Burkina Faso, and regional intermediaries.
