Soldiers reportedly killed four protesters in Maiduguri, Borno state capital, as the nationwide #EndBadGovernance protest turned violent, especially in Northern states.
The protesters were reportedly killed by live bullets fired by soldiers at Bolori junction, along Baga road in Maiduguri.
The Borno State government has imposed a 24-hour curfew across the state in response to the violence.
Soldiers have killed four residents of Borno State during the #EndBadGovernance protest in Maiduguri, the state capital.
The #EndBadGovernance nationwide protest started on Thursday across major cities in the country. It is a youth-led nationwide demonstration against economic hardship caused by government policies.
Police officers and soldiers attacked journalists and peaceful protesters in Lagos, Abuja, Gombe, and various other states. Pro-government protesters and hoodlums also attacked protesters.
