Mohammed Sanusi Isa Dan-Ada, A human rights activist and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has called for the immediate expulsion of the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesome Wike, from the party. He made the call to the Acting National Chairman of the party.
According to Dan-Ada, Wike’s continued presence in the PDP despite his anti-party activities is weakening the party. He said Wike’s shenanigans have tarnished the party’s image and made Nigerians lose confidence in the PDP.
He also called on the PDP governors’ forum to intervene in the political crisis of Rivers State. He cautioned that the power tussle between Wike and the current governor, Siminalayi Fubara is dangerous for both the state and the party. He entreated the governors to “reject any peace accord signed without the explicit consent of our party”. This was after implying that the Presidency was being a meddlesome interloper in the issue. He also appealed to them to affirm the declaration of the seats of the 26 members of the Rivers State Assembly vacant as a matter of “constitutional integrity”.
Dan-Ada is a PDP member in the Jambutu Ward of Adamawa North Local Government in Adamawa State.
