Abductors Kill Girl on Her Father’s Farm After Taking Ransom in Ogun

577

An 18-year-old girl was brutally killed by kidnappers on her father’s farm in Obasa, Mile 6, along Ajebo Road, Abeokuta, Ogun State, after a ransom of N1 million was paid.

Reports say the killing could be a revenge attack, possibly linked to the girl’s father being a security officer with the So Safe Corps, a government security outfit in Ogun State.

The Ogun State Police Command confirmed the victim’s death on Monday, revealing that her body was found on Sunday with multiple machete wounds, her hands bound behind her back.

According to the police, the girl may have been sexually assaulted before her murder.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, disclosed that the victim was lured to the farm by a suspect identified as Onyeka, who is now on the run.

Odutola stated that the police have launched a search for the suspect and are conducting a thorough investigation to uncover the crime’s circumstances.

A manhunt has been launched to aid in the arrest of Onyeka, who is currently at large. Our officers have also initiated a discreet investigation into the matter, Odutola said.
