The Malian Armed Forces (FAMa) have carried out a series of successful operations across several regions of the country, neutralising dozens of terrorists and destroying significant amounts of equipment. The announcement was made in a statement released by the General Staff of the Armed Forces (EMGA).

According to the communiqué, FAMa’s aerial units conducted surveillance and precision strikes on October 8, 2025, targeting armed terrorist groups in the Inarabane area of the Kidal region. The operation reportedly resulted in the neutralisation of several fighters and the destruction of their logistics.

The same day, further strikes were launched in the Sikasso region, where three targets were hit in Kolondiéba, Zégoua, and Hérémakono. The combined attacks led to the elimination of dozens of militants and the destruction of large quantities of materials used by the groups.

In a separate incident on October 9, FAMa troops successfully repelled an early morning assault on the Zantiguila outpost, neutralising several attackers and seizing motorcycles and weapons.

Officials described the coordinated operations as part of the army’s ongoing efforts to secure the national territory and dismantle terrorist networks operating in the Sahel region.
