Malian President Assimi Goïta to Visit Russia for High-Level Talks with President Putin

Mali’s transitional president, General Assimi Goïta, is set to make an official visit to Russia from June 22 to 26, according to reports from Sputnik Afrique. The visit, seen as a significant diplomatic engagement, will include a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

President Goïta will be accompanied by Mali’s Minister of Defence, underlining the strategic and security dimensions of the trip. The discussions are expected to focus on deepening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the fields of defence, security, and economic partnerships.
