Afro Nation Portugal has revealed Burna Boy and Tems as headliners for its 2025 edition, celebrating the festival’s fifth anniversary. The event, scheduled from July 9 to July 11, promises a star-studded lineup with these two African music powerhouses leading the way.
Burna Boy, a familiar face at Afro Nation, will return to the festival. The Grammy winner’s involvement has been significant since the festival’s inception in 2019.
Tems, on the other hand, will make her headlining debut at the festival. Fresh off her latest album Born in the Wild and a Grammy win, she has quickly risen as one of the most influential artists driving African music into the global spotlight.
Afro Nation, which began in 2019 on the beaches of Portimão, has evolved into a major platform for African music, showcasing talents like Wizkid, Davido, and Megan Thee Stallion in previous years. The 2025 edition will also see the return of The Piano People stage, dedicated to the amapiano genre, further expanding the festival’s diverse music offerings.
