Senegalese Singer Mia Guissé

Several key members of popular Senegalese singer Mia Guissé’s team were unable to attend her sold-out concert in Paris last weekend after the French embassy in Dakar denied them visas.

The affected group included her musicians, dancers, journalists, relatives, promoters and supporters, leaving a significant portion of her entourage stuck in Dakar. Only those with valid visas were able to travel, forcing the singer to adjust her concert to the reduced lineup.

Despite the setback, Guissé delivered her performance at the Casino de Paris to hundreds of spectators. However, the absence of her entire team, including her usual dancers and musicians, impacted the show’s overall performance.

Guissé has a huge social media presence with over 2.5 million followers on TikTok and 581,000 followers on YouTube. Several of her music videos on YouTube have over 10 millions views.
