On Monday, the President Bola Tinubu-led administration arraigned 10 #EndBadGovernance protesters before a Federal High Court in Abuja for treason.
As earlier reported, the 10 defendants (protesters) charged with treason pleaded not guilty to the six-count charges while taking their pleas before Justice Emeka Nwite.
The arraigned protesters are:
- Michael Tobiloba Adaramoye (aka Lenin, male, 28 years)
- Adeyemi Abiodun Abayomi (aka Yomi), male, 34 years
- Suleiman Yakubu (male, 28 years)
- Comrade Opaluwa Eleojo Simon (male, 50 years)
- Angel Love Innocent (female, 51 years)
- Buhari Lawal (male, 21 years)
- Mosiu Sadiq (male, 28 years)
- Bashir Bello (aka Murtala, male, 51 years)
- Nuradeen Khamis (male, 47 years)
- Abdulsalam Zubairu (male, 37 years)
Family members of the unjustly accused and fellow Nigerians within the court were reportedly denied entry into the courtroom by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC). The defendants were conveyed to court amidst heavy security.
Their arraignment marks another violation of human rights as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by the Tinubu-led administration.
