The Network Abuja Left Group has declared its unwavering commitment to the proposed nationwide protest scheduled to begin on August 1, 2024, despite threats and intimidation.

The human rights organization reaffirmed its stance during a media briefing in Abuja, insisting that the 10-day action will proceed as planned.

The activists called on security agencies to focus on maintaining peace, law, and order, urging them to avoid a repeat of the alleged killings during the #EndSARS protest.

The group stressed the importance of safeguarding the rights of protesters and ensuring a non-violent demonstration.

According to the organizers, their demands includes reversal of the recent fuel pump price hike, which they described as a cut-throat increase detrimental to the well-being of the Nigerian populace.

The group asserted that this demand is non-negotiable with the administration led by President Bola Tinubu, emphasizing that the current fuel prices are unbearable for ordinary citizens.
