Despite Contrary Evidence, Hazeem Gbolarumi Denied Threats To Kill Lagos Car Dealer

The former Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Hazeem Gbolarumi, has denied threatening to maim and kill the Executive Director of 3D’s Stars General International Limited, Samson Adeoye, over an uncomplete payment of a GLK 350 car delivered on request to his residence in Ibadan in 2018.

Gbolarumi denied the allegation on Sunday, July 14th 2024, after a report by West Africa Weekly indicating incomplete payment, yet threatened to inflict harm and ensure Adeoye desist from demanding the balance.

Contrary to Gbolarumi’s claim, which he wrote on X (formerly Twitter), West Africa Weekly obtained a voice recording that captured several adults restraining him from attempting to break Adeoye’s limbs during a meeting to resolve the incomplete car payment.

In the recording, Gbolarumi can be heard uttering a threatening statement in Yoruba, depicting what would have been if not that he was who he was.

“If it were when Gbolarumi was Gbolarumi, I would have broken every one of his hands and legs.”

Meanwhile, the GLK 350 registered in Lagos remains in Gbolarumi’s compound.

To further affirm the threat to kill the car dealer, West Africa Weekly obtained yet another recording of Adeoye’s friend and business partner in China, Rasheed, on a call with one Juwon (not real name).

This recording unveils more than just the alleged threat to both Rasheed and Adeoye, as it also indicates that Gbolarumi threatened the management of Radio Nigeria  with a lawsuit, which made Radio Nigeria threaten one of its female employees (name withheld) with a sack letter after being contacted by Adeoye to air his plight on the radio.
