Two Nasarawa State University Students Confirmed Dead during Stampede of Rice Palliative

Three Students of Nasarawa State University have been confirmed dead during a stampede of rice palliative initiative of the State Governor, Abdullahi Sule.

In a submerge means aimed at ameliorating the food crisis in Nigeria, Governor Sule reportedly organized a rice palliative event to share at his arrival with Nasarawa State University students.

Students and residents combined broke the barricade at the venue before his arrival in a stampede, resulting in the death of three residents due to the ongoing strike of unpaid workers at the school hospital.

The Nasarawa state government is yet to give a statement of account following the turn of events set out to solve hunger in the state.

Meanwhile, the governor’s approach to solving the food crisis has proven to be ineffective and insufficient amidst rising inflation and food hikes.
