412

In a bid to streamline market activities and alleviate traffic congestion in Ikeja, the Lagos State Government has revealed plans to relocate some parts of the famous Computer Village to Katangwa Market in Abule Egba.

While addressing reporters, the government highlighted their efforts to organize market spaces during a recent press briefing, stating, “We are trying to organize all our markets. I will give you an example, so in Ikeja, we have a Computer Village. You know the Computer Village is being relocated.”

Speaking on the relocation process, the government emphasized, “We are relocating them to Katangwa. It is not just the Computer Village alone; there are other activities that will happen in the Katangwa market. In the next coming weeks, you’ll see government efforts on Katangwa.”

The government noted that the decision aims to address the longstanding issue of congestion and disorderly trading activities that often obstruct traffic flow in the Ikeja area.
