Tinubu appoints son-in-law as CEO Federal Housing Authority

After Appointing son-in-law as CEO of FHA, Tinubu approve 126.5billion for construction of houses across the nation

President Bola Tinubu has appointed his son-in-law Mr Oyetunde Ojo as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Federal Housing Authority (FHA). Mr Ojo is Folashade Tinubu Ojo’s husband, the Iyaloja of Lagos.

This appointment, announced by the President’s media aide, Ajuri Ngelale, comes as part of a broader reconstitution of executive management teams within the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development.

Mr Ojo, a former member of the House of Representatives, has over a decade of experience in the housing and hospitality industry. He holds a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Greenwich, United Kingdom.

The statement from Tinubu’s office emphasised Mr Ojo’s qualifications and experience as the primary factors driving his selection for this key position.

Alongside Mr Ojo’s appointment, the President also approved the reconstitution of executive management teams across various parastatals under the Federal Ministry of Housing and Urban Development. This includes significant appointments within the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria (FMBN), such as Shehu Usman Osidi as Managing Director/CEO, and Ibidapo Odojukan as Executive Director Finance & Corporate Services.

In addition to Mr Ojo’s appointment, key executives named for the FHA include Mathias Terwase Byuan as Executive Director, Housing Finance & Accounts; Umar Dankane Abdullahi as Executive Director, Business Development; Oluremi Omowaiye as Executive Director, Project Implementation and Ezekiel Nya-Etok as Executive Director, Estate Services.
