Chelsea vs Brighton
Ten-man Chelsea held on to a vital home win as they beat Brighton 3-2. Enzo Fernandez headed in his first Premier League goal from the first, while Colwill thumped in his first Chelsea goal to double their lead.
Their lead was halved just before the break, with Buonanotte curling in a beautiful strike past Roberto Sanchez before Gallagher received his second yellow card and was sent off.
Fernandez got his second of the game in the 65th minute from the spot after Milner fouled Mudryk, and it took Brighton until stoppage time to pull back another goal, with Pedro flicking it in at the near post.
In the dying moments, the referee awarded a spot-kick to the Seagulls for handball, but VAR overturned it.
It’s a win that lifts Chelsea into 10th position on the table, and they’ll be hoping to build some momentum off this as they travel to Manchester United on Wednesday.
Enzo Fernadez was voted the man of the match by the English Premier League, having scored two goals.
Man City vs Tottenham
Dejan Kulusevski’s 90th-minute header rescued Tottenham a point at the Etihad. It ended a run of three Premier League defeats in a row as Spurs claimed a thrilling 3-3 draw against Manchester City.
The draw ends City’s victory in a breathless contest, which means Pep Guardiola’s team has now dropped points in three consecutive games following draws against Chelsea and Liverpool.
The draw means Arsenal sit at the top of the table after matchday 14, with 2-points ahead of Liverpool’s 4-3 last-gasp win against Fulham, to keep pace in the Premier League title race.
In other matches around the league, West Ham United played a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace, with goals from Muhammad Kudus in the 13th minute and Odsonne Edouard in the 53rd minute. Bournemouth also played a 2-2 draw at home against Aston Villa to end Villa’s winning run.
