50 Cent Unveils Docuseries on Diddy’s Allegations, Coming to Netflix

50 Cent, the rapper and actor, has announced a new docuseries focusing on the legal battles surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs, which will be produced in collaboration with Netflix. Known for his long-standing rivalry with Combs, 50 Cent shared the news on social media, referencing a report from Variety confirming the project is in development.

The docuseries, directed by Alexandria Stapleton, will explore decades of controversies and legal troubles connected to Combs, aiming to provide a broader view of the issues beyond the headlines.

In a joint statement with Stapleton, 50 Cent emphasised the human impact of the story.

This is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far. We are committed to giving a voice to the voiceless and presenting authentic perspectives. While the allegations are disturbing, it’s important to remember that Sean Combs’ story is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture. We want to ensure that individual actions don’t overshadow the culture’s broader contributions.

The project is critical for Combs, who was indicted on September 16, 2024, by a grand jury in the Southern District of New York. He faces charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. If convicted, Combs could face life in prison. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

50 Cent’s announcement follows years of public tension between the two artists. In 2006, 50 Cent released a diss track titled “The Bomb,” where he suggested that Combs knew the identity of the person responsible for the 1997 murder of rapper Christopher Wallace, better known as The Notorious B.I.G. Wallace, a close friend and protégé of Combs, was killed in Los Angeles while travelling in a caravan with Combs and his crew. To this day, no one has been charged in connection with Wallace’s death.

The tension between 50 Cent and Combs continued over the years, with 50 Cent also suggesting Combs had a connection to the 1996 murder of Tupac Shakur. Combs has denied both allegations and called them “nonsense” during a 2016 interview on “The Breakfast Club.” He has never been charged in relation to either case.

The upcoming Netflix series is expected to shed new light on Combs’ legal issues and give viewers a deeper understanding of his long and controversial career.
