Suspected gunmen abducted two Chinese expatriates Sunday along Onigbedu Road in Ogun State. The incident occurred around the Kemta/Abule-Owu area.

The Police Command in Ogun State confirmed the abduction, and the victims were identified as Chen Wenguang and Lian Ding.

According to the police spokesperson, Odutola Omolola, the command has commenced efforts to apprehend the suspects and secure the release of the abducted expatriates.

“Two Chinese nationals were abducted yesterday. Effort is on to apprehend the suspects,” she said.

According to Eons Intelligence, a security-focused media outlet, the expatriates were kidnapped at about 1:45 pm on August 11, 2024, after they closed from work at Good One Carton Company to visit friends.

It is said that the kidnappers have reached out to the company for ransom.

The police, as at the time of filing this report, are investigating the incident and doing all they can to ensure the safe return of the victims.
