The official opening ceremony took place at the Russian House partner facility in the Burkinabè capital, attended by government officials, representatives of the Russian Embassy, and Burkinabè alums of Russian universities.

Officials described the initiative as a “bridge between the two nations,” promoting academic exchange, language learning, and cooperation in science and technology. The project also reflects Moscow’s expanding soft-power engagement across Africa, particularly in francophone West Africa, where Russia has sought to strengthen diplomatic and educational partnerships in recent years.
