Under Wakama’s leadership, D’Tigress displayed exceptional skill, teamwork, and resilience. D’Tigress have accomplished a feat that seemed almost impossible years ago.

For the first time in 20 years, the team secured a victory at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, defeating the formidable Australian team 75-62 in their opening Group match in Lille, France.

The team’s performance was not only historic but also inspiring, as they became the first African team to reach the quarter-finals of the Olympic women’s basketball tournament.
