Niger Foreign Minister Meets Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro to Deepen Bilateral Ties

Niger’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Nigeriens Abroad, Yaou Sangaré Bakary, paid a working visit to Venezuela on Monday, October 1, where he was received by President Nicolás Maduro.

Talks between the two leaders focused on strengthening and diversifying cooperation between Niger and Venezuela, with an emphasis on a mutually beneficial partnership.

During the meeting, Minister Bakary conveyed the fraternal greetings of Niger’s Head of State, General Abdourahmane Tiani, to President Maduro.

Maduro, in turn, welcomed Niger’s commitment to bolstering bilateral relations established in 2005 and highlighted the importance of deepening South-South cooperation in political, economic, and social fields.

The visit marks a new chapter in two decades of diplomatic ties between Niger and Venezuela, built on friendship, mutual respect, and solidarity between their peoples.
