The 98th edition of the Academy Awards delivered a dramatic night in Hollywood as the film “One Battle After Another” emerged as the biggest winner of the evening.
The movie won six awards including the prestigious Best Picture and Best Director for Paul Thomas Anderson during the ceremony held at the Dolby Theatre in the United States.
Another major contender, “Sinners,” which entered the ceremony with the most nominations, secured four awards including Best Actor for Michael B. Jordan.
Other notable winners included Jessie Buckley who took home Best Actress for her performance in Hamnet, while Amy Madigan won Best Supporting Actress for Weapons.
In other categories, the animated film KPop Demon Hunters won Best Animated Feature while the documentary Mr. Nobody Against Putin received the award for Best Documentary Feature.
The ceremony celebrated films released in 2025 and highlighted a mix of blockbuster productions, political documentaries and independent cinema.
