Mali Marks Türkiye’s 102nd Republic Day, Reaffirms Bilateral Ties

Mali joined Türkiye on October 29, 2025, to celebrate the 102nd anniversary of the founding of the Turkish Republic. The event, hosted by Turkish Ambassador Efe Ceylan, was attended by Mali’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdoulaye Diop and three other government members.

In his remarks, Minister Diop praised the “heroic struggle” of the Turkish people and congratulated President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He also expressed appreciation for Türkiye’s continued support of Mali, particularly in the fight against terrorism.


Ambassador Ceylan reaffirmed Ankara’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Mali and the Alliance of Sahel States (AES), emphasising shared economic development and security goals.
