LASEPA Shuts Down Church and Six Establishments for Noise Pollution in Lagos

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has shut down a church and six other establishments in the Surulere and Orile Iganmu areas of Lagos State for noise pollution. This action followed an operation to curb noise pollution and other environmental violations in these areas.

LASEPA, in a statement on its X handle, emphasised that despite repeated warnings and abatement notices, several establishments continued to violate its directives. As a result, these non-compliant establishments were temporarily shut down to ensure strict adherence to environmental regulations.

Today, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) conducted a comprehensive enforcement operation to curb noise pollution and other environmental violations in the Surulere and Orile game areas of Lagos State.

Despite repeated warnings and abatement notices issued in the past, numerous establishments persisted in contravening LASEPA’s directives. Consequently, these non-compliant establishments have been temporarily shut down to ensure strict compliance with environmental regulations, read the statement.

The affected establishments include Red Pepper Bites Limited, Lacibo Restaurant & Lounge, Lakeem Suites, Krusty Butter Bakery & Pastries, Addie, Revelated Christian Ministry, and Don Nelson Resort & Suites.
