Damini Ogulu known as Burna Boy, dropped a post on X(twitter) on why he is disliked in the music industry.

Burna Boy has faced criticism and he feels he is hated by his peers, which he attributes to their feeling of inferiority in comparison to him.

In a recent post by him on his X official page, he insinuated that he is disliked by his “inferiors” for having no “superiors.”

This statement suggests that Burna Boy’s success and popularity have led to resentment from other Nigerian artists who feel inferior to him.

It should be recalled that Burna Boy has been involved in controversies and has been criticized for his outspoken views on social issues, which may have contributed to the negative perception of him.

For instance, he has been criticized for his comments on African music and the use of the term “Afrobeats.” According to him, Afrobeats is ‘nothing’, saying it lacks substance. He stated that 90 percent of Afrobeats songs are devoid of real-life experiences and only portray an amazing time that life isn’t all about.

His statement sparked a range of reactions on social media, with some agreeing with him and others criticizing him for being arrogant. Despite these challenges, Burna Boy continues to express his opinions and maintain his stance on controversies.

Burna Boy is a Grammy award winner and has been nominated for some categories in the upcoming Grammy award.

His latest album, ‘I Told Them,’ has gathered a large number of streams worldwide.
