Galatasaray Ready to Sell Osimhen if Barcelona Meet €80m Valuation

18

Victor Osimhen could be on the move again as Spanish giants Barcelona are reportedly weighing up a summer bid for the Nigerian striker, with Galatasaray said to be open to negotiations at the right price.

The Turkish champions are believed to have placed an €80 million valuation on Osimhen amid growing interest from Barcelona, who are planning for life after veteran forward Robert Lewandowski.

Barcelona are understood to be searching for a long-term attacking option as Lewandowski approaches the final phase of his contract, which expires in 2026.

Club officials are reportedly preparing for a major squad transition and see Osimhen as one of the most suitable replacements due to his pace, physical presence, and consistent goal-scoring record.

Osimhen has continued to build his reputation since leaving Napoli, where he led the club to a historic Serie A title. His move to Galatasaray has only strengthened his profile, with the striker quickly becoming the face of the team and delivering strong numbers in front of goal.
So far this season, he has recorded 15 goals and one assist in 21 appearances across all competitions, underlining why Europe’s top clubs remain interested in his services.

Despite the growing speculation, earlier reports suggested that Barcelona had not yet entered formal negotiations, even though the club had placed the Nigerian on its shortlist of attacking targets.

That situation appears to be evolving as the summer transfer window approaches and Barcelona’s need for a new striker becomes more urgent.

Any move, however, would depend heavily on Barcelona’s financial situation. The club has faced ongoing economic constraints in recent years, and a deal for Osimhen would likely require careful planning, player sales, or structured payments.

For Galatasaray, the striker remains a central figure. Still, the reported €80 million valuation suggests the club may be willing to consider offers that reflect its rising market value and global appeal.

If the transfer materialises, it would mark another major step in Osimhen’s career and potentially place him at the centre of Barcelona’s next attacking era.
