Enyimba FC, the record-holding champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), have parted ways with Head Coach Yemi Olarenwaju following disappointing performances. The decision comes after the club endured a nine-game winless streak, leaving management dissatisfied.

In an official statement released on Saturday via the club’s social media platforms, Enyimba confirmed the departure of Olarenwaju and expressed gratitude for his contributions.

Enyimba FC can confirm that it has parted ways with head coach Yemi Olarenwaju,” the statement read. “The club thanks Coach Olarenwaju for his services and wishes him the best in his future endeavors.

Enyimba followed this sack by appointing Stanley Eguma as their new manager. Eguma, widely regarded with extensive experience in Nigerian football, is expected to bring stability and renewed energy to the club.

Eguma inherits a team in desperate need of revival. Despite their storied history, including multiple NPFL titles and CAF Champions League triumphs, Enyimba’s recent performances have fallen short of expectations, prompting this managerial shake-up.
