Acclaimed Nigerian music video director Clarence Peters is gearing up for his Netflix debut with his drama series Inside Life, premiering on October 11. The series delves into the harsh realities of life in Lagos prison.
Peters celebrated for his work with top Nigerian music artists such as Burna Boy, Davido, Wizkid,Tiwa Savage, and more, shifts his creative talents from music videos to the small screen, promising a raw and captivating portrayal of Lagos’ underbelly. Inside Life follows a group of characters, including a man driven to extremes, a devoted sister, and an ambitious woman, as their lives intersect within the unforgiving confines of the prison system.
Featuring a talented cast that includes Gabriel Afolayan, Scarlett Gomez, Meg Otanwa, Jide Kosoko, and Zack Orji, the series promises a gripping narrative that exposes the darker side of Nigeria’s most populous city.
Though known primarily for his music video direction, Clarence Peters has dabbled in filmmaking before, with his short horror film HEX winning Best Short Film at the Africa International Film Festival in 2015.
