Renowned Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has been featured in a new international campaign by Italian luxury fashion house Bvlgari.
Adichie appears in the brand’s Icons Minaudières campaign, a project that blends fashion with storytelling and cultural expression. The campaign highlights a collection of artistic evening bags inspired by some of the brand’s historic design symbols.
The Nigerian writer joins a group of global cultural figures involved in the campaign, including Canadian supermodel Linda Evangelista, South Korean actress Kim Ji won, Italian American actress Isabella Rossellini and South African architect Sumayya Vally.
Each woman featured in the campaign represents one of the symbolic designs in the collection and contributes a small book that accompanies the piece.
Bvlgari said the project aims to connect fashion with ideas of identity, creativity and cultural heritage.
For Adichie, whose novels and essays have earned global acclaim, the collaboration highlights the growing influence of African voices in global fashion and cultural industries.
