Since his breakout in 2022, Nigerian sensation Asake has rapidly ascended to global stardom. Known for his infectious blend of Afrobeats and contemporary sounds, Asake’s discography is marked by hit singles and successful albums, including Mr. Money With The Vibes, which won Album of the Year at the 2023 Headies Awards. His Sophomore, Work of Art, featured the record-setting single “Lonely At The Top.”

Now, Asake is set to release his third studio album, Lungu Boy, on August 9, 2024. This highly anticipated album features collaborations with international superstars, including Wizkid, Central Cee, Stormzy, Travis Scott, and Ludmilla, highlighting his cross-genre appeal and global reach.

Leading up to the album’s release, Asake dropped singles like “Only Me” and “Wave” featuring Central Cee, showcasing his ability to innovate while staying true to his roots. His “Lungu Boy World Tour,” which includes stops at major venues like London’s O2 Arena and New York’s Madison Square Garden, marks him as one of the few Nigerian artists to headline these iconic locations.

Asake’s rise symbolises a broader cultural movement where African music and youth culture increasingly influence global trends. His work not only celebrates African musical heritage but also pushes it onto the world stage. Lungu Boy is poised to be more than just an album; it’s a cultural milestone, reflecting Asake’s journey and the vibrant soundscape of modern African music.
