A mass burial has been conducted for the victims of the tanker explosion in Majiya Town, Taura Local Government Area, Jigawa State on Wednesday. The explosion, which occurred late Tuesday night near Khadija University, claimed 105 lives and left 55 others with severe injuries.
The incident happened when a tanker, en route to Nguru in Yobe State from Kano, overturned near Khadija University, Majiya, after the driver lost control leading to a devastating fire explosion.
Community members, grieving the loss, gathered to pay last respects to the victims, most of whom were burned beyond recognition due to the intensity of the explosion.
In a video seen online, the sad scenes of the burial, with families and community leaders paying their last respects.

Many of the injured victims are currently receiving treatment at Ringim General Hospital for varying degrees of burns and injuries sustained in the fire.
The Federal Government has ordered emergency aid to be provided to those affected and medical supplies, food, and shelter to be dispatched to the victims.
