Gunmen attack Plateau

Gunmen attacked a mining site in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State on Friday night and killed four youths. Five others were injured. The victims were working at the Butura community site when the attackers struck around 9 p.m.

Sabastine Magit, President of the Butura Youth Movement, confirmed the incident. He identified the deceased as Bwefuk Musa, Klingshak Dickson, Promise Joshua, and Nyam Abaka. The gunmen, who reportedly spoke the Fulani dialect, fled the scene before security forces could respond.

This attack follows similar violent incidents targeting the community. Over 20 members have been killed in the past month, including five family members in a recent attack. These tragic events come amidst claims from the Nigerian military that security has improved under the current administration.
