Bandits have attacked the Primary Healthcare Centre in Kuyallo, Birnin-Gwari LGA, Kaduna State, kidnapping two nurses and patients.

Musa Alhassan, a leader of the local Vigilante group, said the bandits first targeted the nearby Government Day Secondary School around 9 am on Monday, September 9, 2024. When they found the school empty, they shifted to the healthcare centre.

“The bandits came to the school around 9 am, asking about the students, but when they found out that the school was empty, they went to the healthcare centre and started kidnapping people,” PUNCH quoted Alhassan.

“The exact number of patients kidnapped is still unknown,” he added.

An eyewitness also reported that the bandits entered the centre with guns and machetes, dragging people away while no one could intervene.

This incident adds to the growing number of attacks and insecurity plaguing the state.

However, neither the Kaduna State Police nor government officials have confirmed the incident.
