The Federal Government of Nigeria has warned foreign countries to desist from meddling in the nation's internal affairs as reports abound of foreign flags being flown during ongoing protests against economic hardship

President Bola Tinubu has postponed the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting that was initially scheduled for Monday afternoon.

Ministers who arrived at the Council Chambers in the Presidential Villa were seen leaving around noon.

Daily Trust reported that the postponement might be connected to a security meeting currently taking place at the Presidential Villa, chaired by President Tinubu.

The agenda for the FEC meeting was not disclosed, but it was expected that the meeting would look into the ongoing protests and determine the next line of action.

This development comes a day after President Tinubu’s nationwide broadcast on Sunday morning, where he urged protesters to suspend their actions and engage in dialogue.

Protests has however continued with Monday marking the 5th day of the #EndBadGovernance protests.
