Fubara receives Otti to commission the reconstruction of Old Port Harcourt-Bori Road

On Tuesday, Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara received Alex Otti, Governor of Abia State, to commission the reconstructed 10 km-long Old Port Harcourt-Bori Road project in Eleme LGA of the State.

Upon assumption of office on May 29, 2023, Fubara repeatedly reiterated the Rivers State Government’s commitment to ensuring the completion of the road, which, according to a local report, would mark the beginning of his first anniversary.

We are removing hurdles to swift business activities in Rivers, says Fubara.

He stated that the Old Port Harcourt -Bori Road project is central to his administration’s agenda of creating a business-friendly climate that will engender economic activities, save more business time, and ease the movement of people and goods.

In a remarkable display of Unity and shared vision, the Aleto-Ebubu-Eteo road now serves as an alternative route to the Eleme axis of the East-West Road, as commissioned by Abia State Governor Otti in collaboration with the Rivers State Government.

According to InsidePortharcourt, starting May 14, Governor Fubara’s administration has outlined a 20-day programme to celebrate his first year in office.

This includes the inauguration of 10 major projects across various local government areas in the state. These projects aim to improve the state’s infrastructure, boost economic growth, and enhance the well-being of residents.

Meanwhile, the commissioning of the Old Port Harcourt-Bori road now adds to Fubara’s initiative to complete 10 significant projects across the state within his first year in office.
